We engaged BX in 2024 to independently perform a study of the carbon footprint – or total greenhouse gas emissions – of our hop products. This is an important step on the journey to becoming a more sustainable operation. BX is a leading independent environmental farm management platform based in London.
As well as being important to us as farmers and land custodians, we recognise that supply chain carbon footprint is becoming increasingly important to many brewers not only due to their own values but the values of the people who consume their beer.
Regulatory initiatives like the global Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) – which is a global body that enables brewers to set emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science – are also important factors.
