Harvest 2022 Update

We are pleased to report that we are on-track for a nice hop harvest.

Harvest started in late February and will finish late March.

The general consensus across the industry seems to be that the early harvest varieties e.g. Motueka, NZ Cascadeand Pacifica, have weighed in relatively light this year. So volumes of those varieties might be down.

As we start to move into the mid to later harvest varieties e.g. Nelson Sauvin, Rakau and Riwaka, the early signs are looking promising for solid yields.

Quality across all varieties looks great on our farms.

This harvest marks the debut of our newest hop farm, Blue Rock. Blue Rock joins our three other hop farms - Battery Hill, Korere and Mt Arthur – in creating 800 acres of beautiful hop garden. This will increase to over 1,200 acres over the next 2-3 years as we continue to develop more land.

We hope you enjoy the accompanying video footage showing early harvest activities. There will be more video footage to follow, as we know people love seeing on-farm action!
