Hop processing

Watch this brief video summarising how we process our New Zealand hops at our hop farms. After the bines are cut they are taken to our picking sheds where the hop cones are picked and cleaned in our Dauenhauer picking machines. Then the hop cones are dried in flat-bed kilns before being conditioned and compacted into bales.

SUMMARY OF OUR HOP HARVEST PROCESS

bines are cut

bines are transported to the picking shed

bines are hooked onto the picking machine

the picking machine strips the hop cones from the bines

the picking machine cleans leaf and stem from the cones

after cleaning, the cones are transported to the kiln

the hops are dried in kilns

the dried hops are CONDITIONED

after coNdiTionIng, the hops are compacted into bales
